Real fur and real leather. Do I really have to tell you why?

(To make either of them acceptable would be to collect the raw materials from a wild animal that would have died from a natural cause.)

Not that I don't agree with you but the reason fur isn't used by natural death is because supposedly the quality of the fur is different than if you'd skinned it off a live animal. Really fucked up.

Um, actually skinning live animals doesn't make the fur any better. It really is better to kill the animal first, you get a lot less damage then. The point is rather the minimum amount of time between the death and curing the skin, because decay starts quite soon after death. Besides often natural deaths happen in circumstances that again diminish the quality of the skin (a disease, another animal killing the intended animal, old age).

Not that I'd be sorry if the whole fur industry just stopped. What with science developing daily, we'll be getting fur of all descriptions fresh from a vat, hopefully. And leather. And other such products.
